Бриджуотер (англ. Bridgewater) — тауншип в США в округе Сомерсет штата Нью-Джерси.
Расположенный в самом сердце долины Раритан, в центральной части Нью-Джерси и пересекаемый несколькими крупными автомагистралями, тауншип известен как региональный коммерческий центр округа Сомерсет (где находится Бриджуотер Коммонс и штаб-квартиры различных компаний), так и как спальный район Нью-Йорка в пределах агломерации Нью-Йорка[4][5]. Тауншип расположен примерно в 51 км от Манхэттена и примерно в 32 км от Статен-Айленда[6][7].
Тауншип Бриджуотер был создан королевской хартией 4 апреля 1749 года из частей Северного округа. Он был включён в состав первоначальной группы из 104 тауншипов Нью-Джерси Законодательным собранием штата 21 февраля 1798 года в соответствии с Законом о тауншипах 1798 года. В течение XIX века части тауншипа были включены в состав тауншипа Уоррен (5 марта 1806 года), тауншипа Бранчбург (5 апреля 1845 года), Сомервилла (25 марта 1863 года), Раритана (3 апреля 1868 года) и Баунд-Брук (24 марта 1869 года)[8].

По данным переписи населения США 2020 года, население тауншипа составляло 45 977 человек, что на 1513 человек (+3,4%) больше, чем в переписи 2010 года, когда численность населения составляла 44 464 человека, что, в свою очередь, отражает увеличение на 1524 человека (+3,5%) по сравнению с 42 940 человек, подсчитанными в переписи 2000 года[25].
