Podagritus (лат.) — род песочных ос из подсемейства Crabroninae (триба Crabronini). Более 100 видов
Распространение
Встречаются в тропиках: около 80 видов встречаются в Центральной и Южной Америке, 30 — в Австралии, 6 — в Новой Зеландии и 1 — в Новой Гвинее[2].
Описание
Осы мелкого и среднего размера (длина около 1 см). Голова субпрямоугольная в дорсальном виде (у близкого рода Rhopalum голова субквадратная); переднеспинка угловая, с омаулусом (у Rhopalum переднеспинка простая); воротник переднеспинки килевидный или более или менее полосатый (у Rhopalum воротник переднеспинки ни килевидный, ни полосатый); пигидиальная пластинка самки пунктированная (неточечная); тергум VII самца с точечной пигидиальной пластинкой и четко очерченными краями (у Rhopalum тергум VII самца без пигидиальной пластинки); передние голени самки с двумя-четырьмя шипами по внешнему краю, передний гребень присутствует (у Rhopalum шипы на передних голенях отсутствуют, передний гребень отсутствует или рудиментарен)[2].
Биология
Охотятся на двукрылых насекомых[2].
Систематика
Известно более 100 видов, 87 из которых были описаны Жаном Леклерком в период с 1951 по 2000 год. Хотя род был установлен Спинолой в 1851 году, авторы XIX и начала XX веков (например, Ф. Смит, 1856; Далла Торре, 1897) рассматривали его как синоним рода Crabro Fabricius, а Коль (1897) — как подрод Crabro, пока Эшмид (1899) и Пейт (1944) не признали его валидность. В 1994[3] и 1998[4] годах Леклерк опубликовал список различий между большинством подагритов и большинством Rhopalum, а в 1997 году пересмотрел взаимоотношения между двумя родами. Этот список признаков был слегка изменён в 2000[5] и 2002 годах[2][6]. У Podagritus пять подродов: Chilichuca Leclercq, 1981 (Чили), Ebisu Tsuneki, 1983 (Новая Гвинея), Echuca Pate, 1944 (Австралия), Parechuca Leclercq, 1970 (Австралия, Новая Зеландия, Южная Америка) и Podagritus Spinola, 1851 sensu stricto (Южная и Центральная Америка)[2][7][4]. Род относится к подтрибе Crabronina, трибе Crabronini, подсемейству Crabroninae[8][9].
